Who Are the Members?

Membership in the League of Women Voters, the most respected and effective grassroots organization in the country, is open to men and women of all ages.
Our members make a visible difference by serving as community leaders using their experience to create positive, lasting change in our communities.

Why Should I Join?

Through participation in League projects, you will contribute valuable service to the community, gain knowledge and experience through the study and discussion of timely and important topics, discover new interests, develop new skills, learn about crucial issues in your community, make professional contacts, and develop lasting friendships as you meet others in the League who share your interests.
And consistent with our local League's encouragement of civil dialogue between opposing points of view and the expression of a diversity of opinions, your participation will help ease the polarization that too often characterizes political discouse today.

How Much Time Does it Take?

It's up to you! Many members choose to support the League only with their annual dues. Your membership alone gives us the political influence needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change. We cover a broad spectrum of issues and concerns; you may choose to become involved in one or more of them by actively participating in a group study, or listening to a panel of experts at a meeting or just reading about them in one of our publications.
Our local league is very active in moderating candidates' forums. We prepare Key Guides of local and statewide elected officials that need to be updated annually. We also prepare local voter guides that contain candidates' responses to issues of import to the positions for which they seek election. We have planned symposiums that consider pros and cons on various issues (water, anti-fracking legislation, redistricting, as some examples). Your time, talents, and interests could certainly be put to use in a meaningful way in connection with all of these endeavors.

What do I Get?

You automatically become a member of LWV Texas and LWV of the United States. You will receive their publications. You will have the knowledge that you are adding your voice to a powerful force of members from all 50 states, Washington DC, the Virgin Islands, and Hong Kong.

How do I Join?

We could use your talents and enthusiasm. Please join our growing ranks, by filling out the application form, found at the link on the bottom of the page, and mailing it, along with your dues to the address on the form.
Or link on the application, print it, complete it, scan it, and email it to league@lwv-moco.org and submit your dues online.
Renewing members do not need to complete a new application unless their contact info has changed.
New and renewing members may pay their dues online through the following PayPal link. Please specify "dues" on the PayPal form.
