LWV - Feb. 27 - Panel: Voter Qualification Requirements. Our February meeting features a panel discussion of the revised Texas voter qualification requirements passed as Senate Bill 14 (SB14). If approved by the DOJ, Texas voters will be required to present a government-issued photo ID in order to be qualified to vote at a polling place. The panel will present a historical perspective, discuss the League's U.S. and Texas stated positions, their experiences as election workers and the impact of the proposed photo ID requirement.
